Announcement bar

The Announcement bar is a thin top bar that appears above the header on every page. Use it for time-sensitive messages: free shipping thresholds, sale announcements, holiday hours.

It is part of the header section group, so it can be added, hidden, or reordered from the Header section group inside the theme editor.

Settings

• Text — The message shown in the bar. Default: Welcome to our store.
• Link — Optional URL the entire bar links to. Leave blank for a non-clickable bar.
• Color scheme — The color scheme applied to the bar. Default: scheme-3 (dark).

Tips

• Keep it short. Long copy wraps awkwardly on mobile. Aim for under 60 characters.
• One announcement at a time. Add multiple announcement bar sections only if you have a clear reason; layered bars push the page content down and feel pushy.
• Use a contrasting color scheme so the bar reads as separate from the header.
• Link to the relevant page. If the bar promises free shipping, link it to your shipping policy or a sale collection.

How to add or remove

1. Open the theme editor.
2. In the left sidebar, scroll to Header under the page section group.
3. Click Add section at the top of the header group, then choose Announcement bar.
4. To remove, click the section and use the … menu > Remove section.
