Layout

How wide the content of the storefront is allowed to run on large screens.

Settings

  • Page width. The maximum width of page content. Narrow (1200 px), Normal (default, 1440 px) or Full, which lets content run to the edges of the window.

On screens narrower than the chosen width, nothing changes: the content already fills the screen. The setting only shows on large desktop displays.

Full-bleed elements, such as the Hero banner image, span the window whatever you choose. The setting governs the text, grids and product layouts inside them.

Tips

  • Narrow suits text-led stores. Shorter lines are easier to read, and a small catalog looks more considered in a tighter frame.
  • Full suits image-led grids. Collections with a lot of photography use the extra room well. Long paragraphs don’t; at full width on a large monitor a line of text becomes hard to follow.
  • Check on a large monitor. On a laptop screen the three options can look identical. The difference appears at 1440 px and wider.
